The 10 most wierdest mobiles ever!!

The following is a list of 10 most weirdest mobiles ever built. I had come across this article and found interesting and so you find me sharing this here.....

Origami Cell Phone

When it comes to this Rubik’s Cube of mobile phones, one must wonder what – if any – advantages are presented by this frustratingly unorthodox device. Of course, having a mobile phone that folds into different shapes may seem worth the amusement (and I think it is) some have reported that the handset damages easily. Nonetheless, SK Telecom, the largest mobile carrier in Korea, has revealed a few photos of this peculiar mobile phone Although the specs aren’t widely known as if yet, the phone is thought to be fairly similar to an average camcorder phone, albeit one that slides, folds and swivels.[more...]

Pantech’s Mosquito Repellant Cell Phone

By producing ultrasonic sounds that allegedly repel mosquitoes, this Pantech handset has been dubbed “Mosquito Repellant” slider. Apart from its believed effect on pesky insects, the mobile is rather unimpressive. It features a 2.6″ QVGA display, 2.0 Megapixel camera, EV-DO, MP3/MOV/VOD support, stereo speaker, MP3 player, and portable media player functionality. But the thing is so noisy you’d have to wonder if it would be easier to just avoid mosquitoes than tolerate this mobile phone.[more...]

BenQ SL98 Slider Concept Phone

BenQ-Siemens has come out with a conspicuously new mobile phone design in the form of a concept phone called the SL98 Slider. The primary display smoothly slides out on the top when needed. The rest of the time, you have just the bottom half of the phone in your hand. It looks (and presumably feels) a bit weird, as though it is more of a pocket calculator than a mobile phone. Only a small external display shows caller information and other data. Once the primary display pops out, you can also use the camera at its back. Strange design aside, the SL98 Slider is pretty much standard-fare. But it’s still really bizarre.[more...]

Matchbox Cell Phone

It’s ugly. I know. But this highly unnatural-looking “Matchbox Mobile” phone concept fits snugly in your pocket when not in use and slides open to reveal a keypad at the push of a button. Think of it as a turtle phone. It comes out of its shell at times but otherwise remains safely tucked away inside of its own frame[more...]

Onyx: The Keyless Touchpad Phone

Call me old-school but any keyless mobile phone is inherently weird… but in an incredibly cool way. What truly makes the Onyx a deserving entrant on this list is its ability to sense when it is placed beside your cheek. When it reaches that particular part of your face, it answers the incoming call. It’s sleek, it’s unusual, and it’s so cool I have never forgotten about it.[more...]

Three-Screen Mobile

KDDI Japan has created a mobile phone sporting three individual touch screen LCD’s.
That’s an awful lot of screen and very little phone. To date, very little is known about the rest of the concept mobile device, but if screens are your thing, then this eccentric mobile was definitely tailor-made for you.[more...]

Ghetto Blaster Mobile Phone

Named the “Thunder Super Radio HiFi”, this old-fashioned table-top-radio-style mobile features a 1.3-megapixel camera, 2.4-inch TFT display, built-in mini boombox, and a microSD card slot.

There would be nothing striking about this mobile if you only viewed its face. On one side, however, there’s a massive speaker with an old school ghetto blaster grille to protect it and an AM/FM tuner[more...]

Cigarette Mobile Phone

Yes, this is a real phone. Do you think I could actually make up something like this?
In addition being a fully functional or “normal” handset, it also holds a half pack of cigarettes. And if you’re so inclined, you can even purchase the “luxurious VIP kit,” which includes other smoking paraphernalia in a commemorative box.[more...]

Portable Director Cell Phone Jammer

The CX 200 Portable Director II Cell Phone Jammer is predicted to be the forerunner of many similar devices in the future. As advertised, two modes are available with this peculiar device. One gives seventy seconds musical jamming around you while the other fades out the call ‘with natural atmosphere’ presumably to help you end calls you’d rather not continue. So weird it’s difficult to explain. Good thing it isn’t widely available… yet.[more...]

Intruder Phone

Unlike other comparable mobile phones, the Intruder measures just 2.5-inches in diameter and boasts a circular keypad that swivels out to reveal a 220 x 176 display.
Out of the ordinary but highly appealing, the device’s most appealing attribute is its thinness - just a third of an inch thick when it’s swiveled closed. When a call is received, there’s “a delightful ring of light” that radiates from the center of the circle toward the outside. Very cool, indeed.[more...]
