Note: If you faced a black screen, try this solution
The blackscreen is a resolution problem, most likely because your monitor doesnt support the game default resolution. To force the game to start on a lower resolution do the following:
Open notepad, write "RESOLUTION = 1024x768x32"(without the quotes), save the file on fifa09 instalation folder as locale.ini(when saving the file change the "save as type" to "all files"). I used the 1024x768 resolution but you can change it to whatever you want
